Beet Greens Detox Juicing Recipe

The new word on the juicing circuit is that “beet” is the new “greens” in that many people are picking up on the amazing benefits of beets for their ability to help with your cleansing your body. This is why it is commonly included as part of many detox programs. Because beets are sweeter, they also help make your traditional greens recipes more palatable.

This recipe includes beet and greens but also some other popular cleansing ingredients such as lime, celery and carrots.

Ingredients:

  • 1 beet
  • 3 large handfuls of leafy greens of your choice
  • 2 carrots
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • ½ lime

Directions:

Wash and prepare the ingredients as you normally would for your particular juicer. Add in the leafy greens first followed by the beet. Follow this up with carrots and celery and you can add peeled slices of the lime to the juicer, or squeeze into the final juice and stir.
